3.Advocate. Sign the petition at HCAN. There's been a flub in the system and unfortunately Eric, like many others, have fallen through the cracks. Our leaders need to be made aware that we need change and they need to do the right thing.
4.Become an Organ Donor Too many people die each year waiting for an organ transplant. Consider becoming an organ donor by visiting Donate Life America.
5.Donate $1. or more to the LifeGiver Project, the proceeds of which benefit Eric De La Cruz and/or other heart transplant patients in his situation (see below for more information).

has a petition for government to cut the red tape.
Kendra Kellogg writes to me: I posted an action for Eric, "No More Red Tape" on Change.org that sends emails out all at once to UCLA, Obama, and House representatives. It automatically looks up the supporter's representative in the Senate and Congress. Supporters do not have to copy/paste, etc, so it is easier for them.

Hey friends -- Am happy to announce that we FINALLY got Eric transported to a hospital! Yes -- after much kicking and screaming and FIGHTING (cont'd..)Eric was transported via air ambulance to a hospital in LA. They were trying to move him earlier but because of high winds, (cont'd..)they weren't able to transport him so we had to wait. I did not want to say anything to you guys because of what happened last time, we all (cont'd..)thought he would be going to UCLA and then for some reason, that wasn't the case. What I can say is he will be arriving at a hospital in LA (cont'd..)and I will give you a hint, it's not UCLA. We are so happy to share the news with you. Mom and I are absolutely exhausted, but everyone (cont'd..)here at the hospital is celebrating a major victory. We are SOOOOOOO HAPPY!! Finally!!!Finally!!! Finally!!! It took a lot of hard work, but (cont'd..)we finally did it. And of course, we have you to thank! #ERIC's Twitter Army! You guys have been absolutely amazing. We could not have done (cont'd..)any of this without you guys. I think its safe to say that history has been made this week. In my years of covering social/new media at CNN, (cont'd..)I don't thnk I have ever seen people come together like this on Twitter, except for maybe during the presidential election. So be proud of (cont'd..)yourselves that you put aside time spent tweeting about Lost or what you ate for breakfast, or dinner and instead helped someone in need (cont'd..)We did it! We finally got Eric admitted to a hospital. Now of course there is still a long road ahead, but this was the first major step and (cont'd..)it's done. We were able to succeed. And though He has been with us the entire way, now it's truly in God's hands.
